‘Running on Fumes’ is an inside look on small businesses within the automotive industry. Between dealerships, mechanics, parts dealers, etc. I’m interviewing multiple people in order to better understand the highlights and struggles of being a small business owner.

Derek Griffith, 21, owns and operates ‘Northeast Auto Imports’, a JDM import business out of Hudson, New Hampshire. Derek is a young entrepreneur with a serious passion for vehicles of all types. He started his business at a young age and has bought and sold cars of all kinds.

Although Derek’s business is still developing, he has had a very positive impact on the car community. It’s never easy for a young person to put on blinders and dive head first into the business world. However, Derek has put all his time and dedication into his vehicles and clients to get them exactly what they’re looking for.

It’s never a dull day at Northeast auto imports. No two cars are ever the same, and the passion that Derek has for his business is unmatchable.
